I decided to finally try making some raw walnut taco meat for a quick dinner. I searched around the web and found this recipe on The Vedge. Aside from having to soak the walnuts overnight, this was very easy to put together.
This taco “meat” feels and tastes surprisingly like ground taco meat. Use this walnut “meat” inside your favorite taco shell – I used soft corn tortillas for ours and topped with guacamole and spinach.
